I went to an interfaith Eid dinner tonight at the South African Embassy.

And brehs, all those Mandela quotes posted in the Embassy walls. They always ring true but even now with all these conflicts.

Ambassador Ebrahim Rasool taking a shot at the Israelis saying something along the lines of (im paraphrasing):

"Those who call Mandela a saint or what happened in South Africa a miracle do not truly understand what happened there. Those people were the ones who are now bombing children, those people skipped out on going to his funeral, those people supported apartheid and continue to do so to this day."
