All I can say is wow, I knew of some caricatures in history but this takes the cake. The discussion earlier caused by the Latino guy also really shows how people want to shove this into the dirt.

The thing is, if nobody discussed this, it would play right into cacs hands, yes its very very ugly, but by knowing about it, the solution that comes from knowing about it is being conscious enough to not morph yourself into it.

Thanks OP for making this thread. It really really needs to be stickied. Its like the end all for this type of discussion with the long story short version being "study the caricatures and don't morph into them not to mention spread the info to others".

WAY easier said than done. You are right though. But damn it seems like every action or emotion blacks can have is over-exaggerated and as a result turns into or fits a caricature.

Blacks getting an education, raising families, starting businesses, becoming stronger will be a caricature too (if it isn't already).

That's my realization.

You are quite right. Actually, depending on how people see it, it truly might be. Although I would rather have good caricatures wouldn't you? As breh said in his earlier posts, back in history they labeled us as brutes, jezebels and toms all fighting everyone we see fukking everything we see and c00ning everywhere, meanwhile whites were seen as independent (AKA not following behind blacks) innocent and clean and not brutish.

If we were to have new caricatures made, I would rather have ones that labeled us as a education striving, good family raising, business starting strong race. One that overcame its earlier caricatures and came up stronger than ever.

Don't get me wrong, it is hard to do, its easy to say but not enough of our brehs say it. There are a lot of brehs in big positions that can inspire little brehs that don't say it. For brothers/sisters that are grown, they may have already grew into one of them. For some of them, reading this info has a chance of just making them angry and not wanting to read any more. It's truly hard, but I believe too much in ourselves to think we can't change.

I'd rather have NO caricatures at all. I'd rather have every action/reaction be left as normal and not have some convoluted meaning behind it.

But positive once are better than negative ones, but the fact that we minimize ourselves to that degree is sad in and of itself. Ultimately I agree with you.

I agree and no doubt, it is sad, but it's where we are at. Cac ancestors had generations upon generations of setting the current state and it will indeed take more than just a few years to get out of the cavernous hole we are in. Gotta start somewhere though, we came in late into this race, but we need to keep running until we can reach and surpass where others are.
