More pronounced with black folks than others. Black people generally do not value commitment. We have a culture that celebrates single mothers, calls them strong and independent even when they are the worst possible mothers to their kids.

Men win with commitment and marriage. It is why you will see women of other cultures at best married to men on their level and usually much lower, but you will never see that play out among black folks.
