This lil nikka is coming off the bench shawdy. He's not supplanting Dennis anytime soon. Just give him the whole year to work on that body.

If they trade Dennis just to give him the reigns... it may be time usurp Schlenk before he does more harm to the rebuild.

I personally think Trae playing defense is wearing him out. Trae usually only has to focus on scoring and playmaking. In the NBA, he has to become a consistent two way player. He doesn't have the stamina for that yet. He just needs a lot of S&C. I remember how bad Dennis needed it as a rookie. shyt, he needed it for almost three seasons

The difference is Schroeder doesn't & never has given much effort on defense. Trae is at least trying

Dennis does give effort but his idea of defense is being a pest and being overaggressive. Dennis isn't laterally that quick. Trae defends angles and moves his feet well. Trae just gets tired too fast
