Pippen was a superstar

We aint got the superstar so why build a supporting cast. We need to get that star and then fit guys around him.

Why settle for him when there are potential stars in the top 3? Dude wasnt even the best player on his team
I'm not talking about JJJ specifically as I don't know enough about him, but from a stratgic standpoint you have to be careful reaching for the stars, that how you end up with Marvin Williams. I remember people favoring Brandon Wright over Al Horford because Wright had the higher ceiling at the time. You have to do ur due diligence on these guys, make sure they don't have any red flag that's will keep them from being that franchise player. If they do have those red flags there's nothing wrong with picking a Kevin Love or Clint Capela. Someone who will prolly be the 2nd or 3rd best player of a championship contending team.

We're in a postitions where we're goin to at least have a top 5-10 pick next year, if you don't see ur franchise player now then get him next year.

Wright is not the prospect anyone in this class was. He wouldn't be drafted in the lottery today. Teams are much smarter now on frames and bulk and dont compare Horford to JJJ. JJJ is most comparable to another Hawk. Marvin Gaye Williams.

But I think the whole argument is pick the best player available. At #3 Bagley projects as the third best player in the draft. If he's there, why are we overthinking what we're going to do? If he's there, draft him

Yes some of these players we draft won't all be superstars but that doesn't mean we should over analyze how we draft at the top of this year's draft

Who you compare Bagley to?

Exactly. Bagley projects to be the best offensive player in this draft. For a team who sucks on offense and defense like us, get one part right first.

On the latest Woj podcast, Johnathan Givony said the Hawks have been linked to Bagely for a while. Getting the 3rd pick makes Schlenk’s job easy if he’s the guy.

You do have a point. Jackson fits better on a team where he doesn’t have to be a major scoring option. I don’t see him moving the needle much for a team like Atlanta in his first few years.

Guess it depends on how confident Schlenk is in him being a star.

What if Sacramento falls in love with him tho do we take Doncic?
