Got to remember most of their sewer systems was developed after the Romans conquered them. Some of those systems are 1000 plus years old

Awww that sucks. Only thing I remember smelling in New Orleans was Cafe Du Monde and fried Oyster Po'Boys
You definitely get the same city smells of NYC walking around downtown, Canal Street and shyt in New Orleans.

I was in Shinjuku Tokyo and certain parts of it smelled like a sewer. I thinking stanking might just be a big city thing.

I believe it. Big Asian cities have some crazy smells. Bangkok seemed to perpetually smell like shrimp paste. Just stankin' seafood smell mixed in with motorcycle exhaust :sadcam:
