Which song on SC was on some pro Black shyt because i missed it......I remember songs about ravioli bags and Tommy Matolla losing his lady and Ghost humping the bed as a kid and him and Rza having a convo about famous females they' wanna bang and that weird slowd down voice Rae did for 50 cent and that skit where ghost kicks the crackhead out the crackspot. And that one song with the record scratches.....i do remember a song named Malcolm with Malcolm but the song itself wasnt on that pro black shyt cuz he's tali=king about selling drugs and shytting on Mase

which specific song on SC was on that same level as "us" or "I wanna Kill sam" or "color blind" or "bird in the hand" or " Endangered Species" because i must have missed it.

Cube.

Amerikkka's Most Wanted, Kill at Will and Death Certificate are probably the best three project run Hip Hop has ever seen. When Cube was in his prime, there was nobody making better albums than him. When those releases dropped, the impact they had was crazy. It wasn't just dope music, they shifted the culture and opened our eyes to shyt we weren't aware of. Very few albums have that kinda power.

Ghost is winning in this poll but lets keep it a buck

when it came down to singles...Cube kills Ghost all day...

lets keep it a buck fa real......which rapper had the last hot song in mainstream??

..it was Cube with this song in 08

Ghosts last mainstream hot song was the neyo song in 06...lets keep it a buck

And yeah ghost is winning this poll but peep those Youtube numbers....thats the real poll.....all that talk of Ghost being better yet cube got 58 Million views for a song on an album ol boy in this thread said didnt have any impact :heh:

compared to 2 million with a Neyo collabo which was the 1st single for Fishcale the so highly praised album by ghost fans......:russ:

Im not sure ghost and cube should be debated ..two totally different emcees..
Compare ghost to like mf doom, slick rick, or kool keith ..
Cube .. Not really sure who you compare him ..only guys in his era i guess.. I would ask is he better than his peers minus pac.. Or what the east coast equal if you wanna play that card:shaq:

:mjcry:One sounded like a pro black track tho.......if you ignore 80 percent of the intelligent gibberish Ghost was spitting throughout the track. Ghost Deini could have been a self righteous track:mjgrin:.

Cubes last big single was conscious like a muthphuka.....All that Disney affiliation and he comes back spitting real shyt about the contradictions of society....he aint talking about no fukking italian mob bullshyt....like the fukking mob will accept you n1gger ass.....stop forcing yourself into places u not wanted Ghost......Thats why the Italian mob killed you on your own album and placed your ashes in a fukking vinyl record because they dont allow n1ggers in their circle.

"Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It" is the first single from Ice Cube's studio album, Raw Footage. It was released with a music video on his MySpacepage on January 3, 2008. The song contains a "chopped and screwed" line from Cube's previous single, Child Support. ("...you nikkas know my pyroclastic flow...") Several members of Westside Connection make cameo appearances in the video.[1] In the song Ice Cube comments ironically on the exploitation of gangsta rap as a scapegoat for society's problems.

A remix to the song was made featuring Nas and Scarface. It is credited to being featured on the video game Midnight Club: Los Angeles.

Music video[edit]
The video was directed by Jonathan Silver, and[2] begins in a classroom of the year 2020. A teacher wearing a military-style uniform, flanked by two American flags, condemns gangsta rap for the vices of society. When a child asks if Compton was dangerous before the emergence of gangsta rap, the teacher yells, "Wrong! Compton was a nature preserve for bunny rabbits!" The room darkens and Ice Cube's face is projected on a screen, rapping that gangsta rap is allegedly the root of all crimes. Several video clips of actual shootings in the U.S. and Iraq are shown, as well as theVirginia Tech Massacre including the infamous image of Cho pointing a gun. It also features footage of the Michael Richards Laugh Factory incident (during the lyric "If I call you a nikka"), Don Imus ("If I call you a nappy-headed ho") and Chris Benoit (referring to the Benoit murder/suicide). Features cameo appearances by WC (rapper) andDJ Crazy Toones

Ghost by far
anyone saying the above was too young to even know what cube was rapping about in his prime years.

so more or less you shouldnt be voting. since you only truly know of one of the two options.

I know them both in their primes. Cube by a mile and I love some ghost. was bangin ghost this past week for old times sake.

tbh prime Ice is like 1/2 years really before my time, the first album i heard of his was "Predator" so i missed the AMW period when it was really happening.

I went with Ghost just as he has more playability, and the the Ironman/OB4CL period was crazy in my memory. Ghost also been very consistent even his recent projects with Younge and BBNG were good.

Cube will go down as being more legendary though IMO.
no...again you went with ghost because you've admitted you've missed some of cube's prime. You can't miss AMW and make a judgement on cube.

dude...i wanted to point this out so bad....I was freaking 12 when AMW dropped so u know 85% - 90% of the fools who say Ghost weren't even around during the time.....some probably not even born

i agree...if u weren't there u dont qualify to vote. That vibe in early 91.....it was something special....if u weren't there u wouldnt know and Cube opened up 91 with jacking For Beats....just with that song alone he was official over here in NYC......

the whole concept was next level for its time....

how many rappers used the term "jacking for beats"???

and then when Cube played Doughboy :whew:.....How To Survive In South Central.......and this was all before Death Certificate.....Cubes impact in 1991 was undeniable

and as much as i fukk with Ghost I dont remember Ghost ever having an impact on a year like Cube did with 1991.
