Ice cube was part of an era though and early on was feared .. Like you believed nwa was gonna come and fukk.you up
Ghost has become a true vet and cant be tested by really.anyone..
But not.really a fan of comparing one emcee from era to another..

Two of my top 5 favorite mcs of all time.

No doubt, cubes impact on hiphop is much greater than ghost. But let's not kid ourselves by thinking ghosts impact is nonexistent. Wu is just as big as NWA, maybe even more worldwide impact.

Discography from top to bottom including wu and nwa efforts, I got ghost over cube. They both to me have 3 classics, 2 solo each and 1 group. I prefer 36 chambers and forever over straight outta compton and nikkaz4life. Both dropped classics on their first solo and 2nd release. I prefer both cubes albums over ghosts.

But ghost has been dropping great albums consistently for almost 20yrs where as cube has not dropped a great album since lethal injection. War and peace, laugh now cry later, raw footage and i am west barely crack 3.5 mics for me.

He's talking about versatility on the microphone. You're extending versatility beyond the subject like we're arguing about who has more interests or hobbies on the side outside of rap. We're talking about rap.

The man explained to you what he means by versatility. He explained that Ice Cube changes his subject matter yes, but his flow and emotion is the similar or damn near the same on every track. But Ghostface has many different personas and emotions so when you press next, you gonna get not only a different completely non-related story, but you're going to get different emotion flow etc. etc. Ghost will damn near sing on a track if the subject matter requires it. That's what he means by versatility.

Critical acclaim comes from reviews and popular opinion... not from sales. A bad thing can sell a lot of units... that's not critical acclaim.. that's high sales. Nobody is talking about sales... or his ability to act... we're talking about rap.

I personally also voted Ghost for pretty much the same reasons @Ayo!-BEZ explained earlier. This guy tells a story.. and you a character in that story. Ghost is an idiot and one of the most entertaining emcees regardless of subject matter. nikka will make you laugh, cry, kill, all that. Discography is crazy... IMO the best discography in rap with that many albums. Ghostface.

Cube was at his peak at the beginning.

I didn't even check for Ghost like that in the beginning.

Cube steadily fizzled and today is only good for a lark.

Ghost just kept improving to the point where I started to become in awe. Today he's liable to drop some serious heat.

So for that alone I gotta go Ghost. Cube was my dude back inna day.. hard body but he somehow lost it.
