I can’t envision Cube doing a better job than Larenz as O-Dog. I watched Menace two days ago, and O-Dog steals every scene he’s in by a wide margin.
Im glad he did. 
Probably would have been a better Kane.
But that Odogg casting was perfect. The fact Larenz Tate looked like a kid ,and had the baby face made his outburst even more scary for the part. Cube looked like a grown man and a gangsta

Haven't watched video but only reason the Hughes brothers would have offered him the role was for financing. Since he made his mark in Boys in the Hood.
Their film was already going to be compared to Singleton's film, but casting Cube would have made it worse.

Larenz Tate is a very terrifying person as O Dog, I think we all know a nikka that's like "man that was my boy when we were young, but I can't be around that nikka" and I think of that person every time I see that move

Low key he just playing his rap persona in every role I’ve seen. Even when he a cop. He could be playing in Langston Hughes in a bio and you’d think he was playing his typical role.
