Kobe won 2 rings with a fringe all-star player in Pau Gasol. Who was Pau before he joined the Lakers?

An all-star :stopitslime:
2002 rookie of the year :stopitslime:
FIBA world champion/MVP with Spain :stopitslime:

He's not Top 10 All-Time but he ain't a bum either. And he was in his prime when he got traded to the Lakers.

The 2001 draft is one of the worse in NBA history if not the worst. :what: Him winning Rookie of the year don't mean shyt.

You were asking who he was at that time. His resume was ROY/all-star/FIBA world champion/franchise player for a playoff team/underrated almost 20/10 PF in his prime years.

That's who he was. He wasn't a Troy Murphy average ass type player with no credentials.

He was in the league for 7 years and made the all-star team once. He was a franchise player in the sense that he was the Grizzles' best player, but he was never a franchise type player. This is the same dude that never won a playoff game in his life before joining LA. He was always considered soft :what:

I ain't denying that but he was a, say, LaMarcus Aldridge type player. Except he played with worse teams. If LMA was traded to the Lakers, would you say he's a fringe all-star nobody? :leostare:
