A direct quote from Malcolm X "The future belongs to those who prepare for it today. The Black man in this country is in a unique position, because he’s not just fighting for his own freedom, he’s fighting for the freedom of all oppressed people. You can’t be for freedom for one group of people and not be for freedom for everybody. If you’re for freedom, you’re for freedom, period. And this is what I’ve learned on my pilgrimage. The struggle is international. There is a worldwide struggle going on that we, as Black people, are a part of."

This is why while I can observe and recognize FBA and making sure we get our just due I have to say it seems to be used by some as a tool to divide us from our brothers and sisters around the world. We need to unite now more than ever.

ADOS been saying what Traore been saying for decades. It's the tethers that come to America on some "I'm not with them akatas :mjpls:" that led to many ADOS being on some :camby: now. Let's not operate in self-deception.

You love to see it :banderas:
They'll just move the goalpost/ignore like they do with every sign of solidarity.

Ibrahim is out here trying to make a call to arms and we got dudes trying to dismiss him simply because he is African.
The bottom line is, there are ppl who did not fully understand white supremacy and why the world is structured the way it is.

This man is trying to put the message out there for all Africans across the globe to read and understand history so they can truly understand the threat.

He’s trying to wake up the Black folks who don’t get it.

Trump got Benjamin Netanyahu, a fellow European, on stage talking about moving an Arab group from their land, and we can’t see the importance of an African leader calling out to all Africans across the globe?

White ppl will come together to solve their problems, but we can’t do the same.

However long it took for some of them to know what we know, now they know.

Just look at all the stuff Trump is doing. They don’t care about us. We have open white supremacists running this country. The world’s richest man (who was NOT elected) has access to our financial system.

Yea, Black folks need to come together.

What is this revisionist history I am seeing going on here. There have always been Black leaders who knew. Heck, how do you think many African countries pushed for their independence from western powers. How some nations were renamed something distinctly African, though some of them unfortunately decided to return back to the European names given to them.

The Black Elite always knew the truth. Unfortunately, just like the average person of any culture is pretty clueless, this goes the same for our people all over the diaspora too. Most are focused only on surviving day to day problems, and only see glimpses of the big picture when problems occur outside of their purview.

So really the messaage is pretty much the same as I have heard since I was in college in the early 90s. What I have realized though is that messaging is not enough. There needs to be action and investments. Creations of plans and organizations.

While Trump has shocked some people into waking up to the threat, the actual discussion about the threat has been going on before any of us have been alive.

the reality is that call to arms needs to be made to the countries surrounding his. those with likeminded leaders who also have armies. when Thomas Sankara attempted to do what he's doing the whites just went to the countries surrounding his and made deals with them to isolate and then cripple Burkina Faso economically.

we know who the white man is, and we have for some time now. but the reality is outside of offering words of encouragement there's nothing anyone over here can do.

Huh?

This is really eye-opening. I'm grateful for the few pro-Black leaders who still fight for justice and equality. Their work is important for raising awareness and making positive change.

Nothing that he said was not already stated before to Black Americans. So the message is not new or novel to many of us who have seen the same information in print, heard in speeches, and seen even in videos. Those who do not know, will most likely continue to not know, because they do not have time to worry about any issues that are not directly related to the surival of their family and themselves.

Example:

African Liberation Movements

Also, my ethnicity has fought for the diaspora from divestments in companies who supported things like Aparthied to seeking to pass bills to get the US to sanction those causing harm to our people.

For example:

Acknowledging Black America in the Discussion for Sustainable Development Goals
Howard University Delegation- Movement Lawyering

Pressure to End Apartheid Began at Grass Roots in U.S.

So that is what I mean by this revisionist history. This has all been happening for years. There is nothing eye-opening or awareness raising as it pertains to Black Americans about this. Many of my people among the intelligencia already know this, and those who don't have other concerns that are immediate to their day to day survival.

You get the reach of the day. Congratulations.
I used the wrong word and you ran with it like your name was Bolt. Stop it slime.

I know that he used prior knowledge and elaborated on it slightly for this era.

Replace that word eye-opening with stirring.

Are you guys book editors in real life??

Literal asf

Then learn to use the right words to express what you mean. Communication is a two way street. There is no excuse on having a poor word choice to express yourself when you are typing it out. Your propensity to also not accept that you are the source of the problem, when you made the original post, exposes a lot about you.

Thanks, Brodie. I don’t want to keep you long - you’ve got an English class to teach, after all. Can’t wait to see how you enlighten those eager minds.

This is really eye-opening. I'm grateful for the few pro-Black leaders who still fight for justice and equality. Their work is important for raising awareness and making positive change.

Ibrahim Traoré's message to Black Americans emphasizes the importance of unity, empowerment, and collective action among the global Black community. Key points include:

1. Awakening and Self-Acceptance: Traoré urges Black Americans to awaken to their identity and reject the negative stereotypes imposed by colonial narratives. He encourages them to embrace their heritage and recognize their strength.

2. Call for Solidarity: He stresses the need for solidarity among Black people, bridging connections between Africans and those in the diaspora. By coming together as one united force, they can strengthen their position against common oppressors.

3. Rejecting Colonial Narratives: Traoré highlights how colonialism has historically disempowered Black individuals and communities. He emphasizes the need to reclaim narratives and cultural identities that celebrate rather than diminish their worth.

4. Inspiration for Action: He calls on Black Americans to draw inspiration from the successes of leaders in Africa, like himself, who are pushing for revolutionary change. This includes advocating for political and social movements that support Black empowerment.

5. Influence on Global Change: Traoré believes that Black Americans have a significant role to play in creating change not just in their own communities, but also in Africa. Their engagement and activism can contribute to a broader movement for justice and equity.

In summary, Ibrahim Traoré encourages Black Americans to unite, embrace their identity, and collaborate with Africans to uplift the entire Black community, leveraging their collective strength to challenge and dismantle systems of oppression.

Do you have the original video?

Will he give citizenship ? Honestly African nations should allow for citizenship with (black) Americans… it’ll help the economies, allow them to trade more freely with America is suppose too

I can’t find the original video.
Will he give citizenship ?

A quick Google search shows that you have to work there for 10 years to get citizenship, but Ghana, next door, offers citizenship to the diaspora and allows dual nationality.

that has been done long time ago, most of Africa is on board with him

the video is a new rallying call, since some countries are growing bigger teeth and better defense.
