Can you prove it on the baker/dawes roll? I'm no expert, but you might be able to claim Cherokee if you can.
Learned it here, timestamp
But there is black people with Native American blood
No where near what we hype it up to be. Not close. Even Gates himself believed that of his own family until he did the trace and found out the hard truth
Oh them Lumbees. My grandmother's maternal side was from Ohio and had "lumbee" stock from Virginia. Actually, they didn't refer to them as that, they claimed they had "Blackfoot" blood. The actual Blackfoot tribe was somewhere around the border of Montana and Canada so I knew off rip that couldn't have been true. Did some research some years ago and found out "Blackfoot" was another nickname given to the Lumbees.
Family has done numerous DNA test on that side. Stories have been passed down that we had indian in us going all the way back to the early 1800s. In fact, I had a 4th great grand aunt named "Sarah Ann Brown 'Charokee' Surname" - the "Charokee" given to her because of the supposed Indian blood we had and in each successive generation of my family, some woman has carried the name of "Charokee" as tradition because of the oral history. Multiple DNA test came back on that side of the family and determined that was all a lie and confirmed what all the articles have said about the so called "Lumbees" to be true.
Family members been traumatized.
@IllmaticDelta Another Lumbee DNA cousin of mine.
Would've loved to be a fly on the wall when she told her parents her results.

There's also black people with 6 toes on a foot. But there is black people with Native American blood
Personally, I’m not a believer in these dna tests, I don’t think 23 and me is enough evidence for anythingThese crackkkers barely got it as well. If you visit the subreddit, you'll be a post from time to time about a white person discovering that "Indian" blood they have is actually Afrikan blood. They usually admit their family members are racists.
That doesn’t mean black people don’t have Native American blood, you sound like you believe in that one drop rule bullshytThere's also black people with 6 toes on a foot.
Look, the vast majority of Black Americans are majority African descent with roughly 8-30% European DNA.
