45 minutes? :mjlol:

Sorry fam, but that's cap.

My old job ran an apple repair center outside of Harrisburg, PA for the last 6 years. I did time studies on how long it takes to do various repairs. The screen repair cell workers goal times were around 7 minutes to replace the screen and casing around the phones.

The X-series repair has you reapply the waterproofing seal and there's also a tiny ground connector that, if lost or misplaced, renders the camera inoperative. The time it takes is so that I don't have to replace a $1,000+ piece of equipment. Things are different when you do these on your own dime.

Hell, iPhone 5's took 30 minutes because of the stupid Home button connector clip.

I'm 100% android gang, but I don't get his point with the chargers. I'm sure most people with iphones are very familiar with buying $5 third party adapters on amazon, it's part of the privileged of being iphone gang.

This topic was discussed before here, it isn’t an iPhone thing. All of these corporations and manufacturers are trying to go in the direction where you just go thru them for repairs, parts and everything else.

like I mentioned before, companies are making so that you even need proprietary software and expensive connectors to work on the equipment they manufacture so customers / techs have to go thru them directly for anything but they want you to get service and everything from them then they’ll get you with mark ups and shyt.

This has been happening will continue to across the board.

Yea, Apple quality has taken a nosedive in the past decade or so but this is issue with smart phones in general which why I never like to spend more than 500 a pop and that's on the high end.

While true, Apple has OD'd on it to the point you can't even purchase replacement parts or software from them at all for the newer models. With every other manufacturer, that isn't an issue.

They're (Apple Genius Bar) also quick to tell you that they can't repair it, but the truth is they WILL NOT.

Don’t forget these extended warranties they’re sellling now too so once you look at the bigger picture you see what it is...

It’s a game and we ( the consumers ) are the losers...just have to learn to mitigate the shyt :manny:
