I've been repairing iPhones for 3 years as a side-hustle so I thought I'd seen just about everything a manufacturer could do to screw a consumer over.

Man, was I wrong.​

The X, XR, and XS take about 45 minutes to an hour just to replace the screen.

Don't even get me started on post-2012 MacBooks.​

What’s even more amazing is people paying over $600 - $1,200 for a piece of tech, and can’t take care of it.


The repair market shouldn’t even be as big as it is now.

Furthermore, those restrictions make it impossible for someone to steal devices.

7 & 8 aren't too bad, especially after they got rid of the Home button, just have to worry about the battery flex cables on the right side when opening them.​

Sorry fam, but that's cap.

My old job ran an apple repair center outside of Harrisburg, PA for the last 6 years. I did time studies on how long it takes to do various repairs. The screen repair cell workers goal times were around 7 minutes to replace the screen and casing around the phones.

80% of iPhones, worldwide, have had to get screens replaced. Even with cases + screen protectors. Also, you must have forgotten about the iOS updates that either killed your battery or bricked your phone.​
