That has nothing to do with the connotation behind the angle.

I'm not saying he didn't like Lashley. They liked Chicken George, still looked down upon him.

Not really saying there wasn't any type of undertones in this feud, but I feel like thue was probably the least racial undertone-filled feud. Vince was extremely high on Lashley, and him not winning the title was more to Cena being in early Super Cena mode than anything. He was wrecking the roster back then, and only injuries gave other people opportunities.

Did Trump actually show up on Raws in the run up to Mania?

He showed up a few times. One week, he'd be there, and other weeks, he would not. I think he showed up to confront Vince (and make the match), appeared on the Titantron to announce which wrestler would be representing him, and then showed up again on RAW for the contract signing. During the weeks when he was not there, I think they had Umaga destroy Rey Jr and Eugene on separate shows, and they announced who the special guest ref was (Stone Cold).
