This is a misleading statistic. The actual statistic is "unmarried mothers", so it doesnt necessarily mean that the mother is "single", just that the couple is unmarried. I know a highly educated man such as yourself, who deals in engineering and science, would be highly adverse to passing along info that is inaccurate and misrepresents.
