Also try to learn from House guys on youtube. You can apply those tricks in Hip-Hop as well.
.

what did you learn from house? do you happen to recall any vids for reference? if not then you can just type it out. I listen to different type of music for playing guitar and such and ive wanted to do the research into other musics just for that specific reason, applying techniques to hip hop.

1 trick i've learned from House is how to make your own Arpeggiators in the Piano Roll.
Although in Hip-Hop, Arpeggiators aren't used so much though.

Also learn how to use synthesis. I'm still a beginner at this.

I can be you're mentor for a small one time fee of 299.99 or a recurring monthly payment of 29.99. What a deal :wow:

For real though feel free to PM me questions. I used to do tech support for AKAI as their lead tech for years and have a lot of experience.

There's virtually no software or hardware I haven't at least used or have some knowledge on.

Shoot me a message sometime I'll give you my email.

I've even helped some pretty big industry types with studio set up and usage routing questions. Lots of experience on that end. I've probably helped more learn how to make beats than I've spent making beats. :mjcry:

hmm im interested in that. im going to do some research. My synthesizer came with a program and it has a arpeggiator so you can create your own arpeggios. you can go full custom or insert notes/chords and create patterns based around them or use templates. I havent fukked with it much but its pretty cool. Having been inside of it the entire thing is built out of a piano roll...I dont fully understand the manual process for doing it (as the program automatically creates the patterns based on what you choose) but I do understand some aspects of it.

How i do it:

1 make a couple of chords in the piano roll
2 from those chords you can make Arpeggiators by making short notes that play the same notes that the chords play.

- Like you use a Pad to make a 3 note chord that's 1 bar long.
- There's 16 steps in 1 bar. You make 16 short notes that play the 3 notes of the chord after each other in different orders. (Not on top of each other)
- You can use those 3 notes in all Octaves
