Once I get a job again and save up some money for school, I want to go back to school and take the required courses but I still have no idea as to what occupation of course of study I'd like to major in. :snoop:

I've never had too much of interest in anything as far as careers go :ld:

In a general sense, what kind of activity do you see yourself doing? Sitting in an office with specific projects to tackle a few months at a time, office with something new to do everyday, jobs that require you to be out and about dealing with people, etc. It helps narrow it down when you figure out the "personality" of a job you wouldn't mind having.

Nah, I don't really want to do that.

I could see myself working some type of office office job. I could go for specific projects or something new to do everyday.

Take my advice with this one, if you don't know what you want to take then you're not ready to go and there is no shame in that. I'm not one of those fukk school people, I do believe you can prosper without it and vice versa.

However, if you take some you're iffy about sooner or later you're gonna regret it. I'm in my last year of school or hoefully so and if I could start again today I would choose from one or two majors 3-4 years ago i wouldve never thought in a million years I would take.

When you actually take something you enjoy you will actually enjoy waking up in the morning to go to your criminology lecture, theatre class or whatever: that will lead you to actual want to join clubs, meet people, etc

On the other hand, those who hate what they take, sleep in, miss classes continuusly, barely interact and when they do attend school they leave immediately after class is done

Yeah, I understand exactly what you're saying.

Yeah, I know that no matter what it'll be good once I get a job to go ahead and get my general studies done. It's just I have no idea what I want to major in once I've finished taking up those general courses.

dont go for general studies

i just had this convo wit my advisor

go for the Associate of Arts or Sciences

Gen Ed. is for people who have mroe than 60 credits but no degree so they just get the Gen Ed.

try to figure out whats your fav thing to do in life
your strengths and weaknesses
try not to be to specific as far as career goals
write it down, speak on it, daydream it

General ed major is different than general ed requirements. You can fulfill your gen ed requirements and still have an undeclared major. It will take about a year (full-time) to get your Gen ed requirements complete and if you can't figure out a major by then, OP, I don't know what to tell you
