It's easy to shyt on Boone tonight, but Cortes had 77 pitches and was up 4 runs in the 7th. If this isn't the time to push Cortes then he might as well abandon the idea of him ever getting another postseason start as a Yankee. He was an all-star last year. Now he can't go 7 on a LIGHT pitch count. There's nothing wrong with him physically. He's not gonna blow his arm out throwing gas. He's not on a pitch count. At the rate he was going, 8 innings wasn't asking too much and if he can't, then he's a glorified opener and should be treated as such.

Someone said online, the pitch clock has messed up Cortes. Part of his success was based off his delivery. Now he can't try all those funky arm angles cuz he don't have the time and he's been known that.
