The Yankees are fine.
But I did try to tell people -- either in this thread, or the MLB season thread -- that Jhony Brito lacks a 3rd pitch to consistently get Major League hitters out.
He has this reputation as constantly pounding the plate. And that's good. You don't want to beat yourself with walks. But you can't just throw fastballs and changeups and think you're going to pitch late into games.
He has to develop that slider at some point. Or maybe in another season or two he can add a curveball. I don't know.
But this is what you're going to deal with.
A guy who is going to be around the plate a lot, but will either give up a bunch of hits...or will be out of games by the 4th inning because batters are spoiling his offerings and his pitch count will be high.
He doesn't have the stuff to miss enough bats right now.
