kinda don't like this for her. still young and can eat off boxing relatively safely. going to mma increases probability she takes a L and i kinda get wilder vibes from her (re: if she lost bad in match)

I'm talking about her persona/personality . They fight nothing alike, but she gets emotional even after wins so i'm trying picture her in a different sport where she might actually be at a disadvantage talent wise
I just googled and rhonda rousey made $3 mil for her fight with nunes (but like 100-300k for all her other fights). so maybe it makes sense if Shields thinks she can be that level superstar

On top of that she would fight 3-4 times per year if she is good/popular, she might start off getting small money right now but if Dana cones to get her he already knows he gotta spend big for her

Unfortunately I don't see this happening. UFC is known for treating their fighters poorly especially their black fighters. I suppose this could get Shields more exposure but I really don't get thr move. That said, I feel like if she can learn some decent take down defense, she is going to walk through most of the women she fights.

Shields insists her primary motivation is to win belts in both sports, but she has acknowledged frustration with the boxing industry's inability to make her a star on the level of her male counterparts or MMA's top female athletes.

I suspected this. No matter what the pay in boxing, she is never gonna be as famous or get her celebrity as high as if she's at the top in UFC.
