Wade was 21-22 as a rookie, not really a fair comparison.

Wiggins numbers right now are very similar to Kobe's in his second season.

Kobe played 6 less minutes though. Kobe was also a lot more polished coming out of HS especially with his footwork and array of moves.

way to misconstrue things. when I said he would average 20ppg as a rookie 4 months ago that was roundly criticized. now that he's dropping 20 a night, nikkas are acting like they expected it. remember how everyone kept saying he was raw offensively and it would take time for him to develop?

stop acting like everyone expected him to be THIS GOOD THIS QUICKLY. I was the only one that said he would be THIS DOMINANT as a rookie.

I was also the only one who said Kevin Love would be THIS PATHETIC on a good team.

Once again it's far from a stretch to suggest a hightly touted number 1 overall pick will play well breh. No matter how you try to spin it, you get no points for that.

I know for a fact that @Malta and myself were two of the main posters saying the trade for Love was a bad idea. I will give you props because I didn't see Love being THIS bad.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?

Wiggins is a lot more advanced than you're giving him credit for, his post game is going to be a big problem for 2 guards in the NBA for a long time, the fact he's developing it now at 19 should be :whoa: for anyone in the league.

Also, since moving to SG, his numbers are still comparable to 3rd year Kobe.

Top is Wiggins....

He's a franchise level talent when he plays shooting guard, this is not to say he's the next Kobe.....just comparable numbers.

If the Cavs lost this trade, who won?

I don't think Minnesota's really in a position where they can "lose" this trade. They got valuable assets for a player that they were going to lose in free agency anyway. It's hard to walk away as losers when you're put in a spot like that

If you stay where you are (hell, if they don't peak any higher than they did before) they failed.

Regardless of how Wiggins does, if in 2-3 years we gotta hear "trade him to the Raptors before you lose him for nothing" then it didn't work out for the other side either

Put it like this, Nik Vucevic & Elfrid Payton probably won't ever lead the Magic to the Finals like Dwight did but I don't think that would make the Dwight trade a failure for Orlando.

Slightly?? I think it's bigger than that. Wiggins is more physically gifted but Wade was better in every offensive skill except shooting the 3.

And I think Wade, in his prime and before the injuries, was at that level of knocking on the Jordan/Kobe/LBJ tier. All 3 of them are obviously better but Wade isn't like T-Mac or Vince. Prime Wade was pretty much Lebron-lite attacker mixed with a Kobe craftiness.

And I think Durant is gonna be the dude on MJ/Kobe/LBJ level before Wiggins.

Hell, I think Durant is the most naturally talented scorer ever.

Durant should focus on winning a title. the days of swooning over his talents are long gone. now we expect results.

and we'll just have to agree to disagree on wade. i never thought he was close to the kobe/lebron tier. he just played an extemely reckless style that looked good in short spurts but long term was unsustainable.

If they stayed where they are then they didn't capitalize off of what they did. If that core doesn't evetually reach the postseason then it's hard to say they recovered from losing Dwight.

Ahh ok, I see what you're saying now. Although I don't think that would necessarily make them the "losers" of the trade, I don't think that moves outside of the trade should affect whether or not it ended up working out the way they intended.

But I do see your perspective.

Really? I thought you of all people would appreciate Wade.
