I thought Bronny James was an overhyped heir/legacy case. But his head is at rim level now

I've watched him live.

He can be a bit passive at times, fading in and out of the contest, but that can also be seen as a strength given he doesn't try to be all up in the videos of the offense, and let's things flow organically. His handle isn't quite where it needs to be, and he does struggle in a halfcourt setting. He has great all-around instincts and knows when and how to make himself impactful on both ends.
Good analysis.

Feel like he's hard to judge because he plays on a stacked squad. If he was at generic "Central High School" in XYZ city, he'd be that guy averaging 30+ ppg, All-District, All-State etc. On this team he has to fit in with the flow instead of dominating everything.

LeBron is literally the greatest athlete in sports history though.
Bron looked like a man amongst boys in high school and he translated that shyt straight to the NBA out of HIGH SCHOOL.

We have seen players go from high school to the NBA, but to physically look AND perform at that level, that early, is damn near unheard of.

We can argue over GOAT NFL, MLB, NBA player all day, but from a pure athlete standpoint, Bron is at the top for me.

Just had 10 tonight against an unranked team

His offensive game is very behind. He’s athletic but that’s only being shown in the open court. He reminds me a lot of Alex Caruso minus the cac scrappiness. He can be a solid role player but he’ll never be a go to guy. If you can’t be a go to guy in high school then there’s no shot in the league. Also I’m weary of sierra canyon players. Seems like no one out of that system shines.

This.

He's not taking 20-25 shots a game like others would at another school. This is part of the issue with judging a prospect solely on stats like that.

They are important no doubt even in his case, but it can be different and not translate

No one is predicting Bronny to be a star player in the NBA, those are so incredibly hard to come by.. he's been predicted to be a potential solid role player for awhile now brah.

To make matters worse he's still not the lead guard. How Bron thought him going 4 years without ever consistently having the basketball was good for his development...

He's just not comfortable/or got enough reps of consistently driving the basketball to the rim and finishing in the half court.

He's basically a more athletic version of what he was in middle school. His game would actually be really solid if he was 6'6". However, at 6'2" you find far more Luther Head's type careers.

In regard to Sierra Canyon....Amari Bailey is now projected as a 2nd rounder...in 2024:francis:

To me its not really a knock on Bronny. His game/development is what it is. Its more or so the expectations that Bron set for wanting to play in the pros with him. They gotta be patient cause you dont want him to get lost like those other Sierra Canyon players or worse end up like Zaire Wade.
