yet these two afro American women African DNA displays a significant portion of Bantu genetics, signifying they were in fact bantu/southern African slaves in the U.S.

Idk I never heard anyone say Bantus weren't sent to America.

Edit: oh my bad you're talking about the United States, I posted some charts but they were about other countries.
Bantu/Southern African slave history in central and south America is widely recognized, for some reason in North America or more specifically the U.S. it isn't.

What reason would you have to believe that? Remember at one point the Spanish controlled large swathes of North America and sold slaves to other countries

I don't know why people act as if Africa is a genetic box where dna is limited by colonial borders. The bantu dna was already in the West Africans. There are bantus in West Africa(ECOWAS countries) If group of people from Texas moved to Illinois and had offspring in Illinois the dna doesn't halt at the Illinioi border. smh

Uhh... that map is showing the flow of slaves to South Africa's Cape Colony. Some slaves were taken from other slave ports on the African coast. But a lot came from what is now Malaysia/Indonesia. Hence the term, Cape Malays.

It has been long known in the USA by African Americans that they have roots in Bantu people of South Africa; as well as the Bantu people of Central Africa. The English, Dutch and Portuguese got slaves from South Africa, Mozambique and Madagascar and many of those slaves were captured from the interior countries like South Africa, Zimbabwe and Tanzania. In fact the Polynesian DNA strain in African Americans has been tied to the Malagasy people that were enslaved and directly sold into the slave trade in Madagascar. Oddly enough African Americans have seemingly always known about the Swahili culture in East Africa. I don't know why or how older African Americans knew about those folks, but I assume that some of that knowledge may have some how been passed down.

I myself am an African American and I have a Polynesian strain of DNA that comes out as 1%-3% on AncesryDNA. Additionally, when I run my GEDMatch results I come back to several South African tribes as well as West, Central and East African tribes.
