only thing i'll say is there are a lot of people, not just the coli, who only form of communication is arguing and being contrarian. But moreso the arguing part. I'm sure everybody knows people that they think a conversation means an argument or debate. And they never just talk and agree and laugh.

that's just life to some people.

When was this positive era on thecoli? This place has been nothing but negative since ive been on here(in 2013). The internet in general is a cesspool where people either trauma dump, say what theyre too afraid to say in public, or just be outright hateful. Even tho i like it, i wouldnt be mad if one day privacy on the internet went away.

I think the TLR forum of The Coli is becoming a place for hate and misery.

On a seemingly constant basis, people are whining and bashing others.

Is someone dating outside of their race? They must be a race traitor.
Is some minority getting a helping hand? Screw them. What about XYZ people?
Did some random person you will never meet have a dumb relationship opinion on Twitter? Let's have a 10 page thread bashing them and assume all other men/women think like them.

This may come across as hyperbolic or strange, but you're going to die.
Haven't you looked around this forum and realized how many people are spending time whining about what other people do instead of focusing on their own happiness?

Who gives a shyt if someone is PAWGing?
Young kids aren't cold approaching women on the street? What does this have to do with you?
Someone doesn't want to date a fat person or poor person? Someone demanding you take them on $200 dates? Fine. You don't have to be with them.

I don't mean to suggest everyone retreat into their own shells and screw the world.
There's value in collective thought and being concerned with others -- but only to a point and mostly in the sense of "a rising tide lifts all boats".

But that aside, focus on yourself and your own happiness. A lot of you spend way too much time on bullshyt, and you try to gloss over this by saying it's just fun and games on the internet. You don't take this place seriously. But your comments, on some level, are a reflection of your real thoughts and opinions. And if you just read the thread titles on the first couple of pages of TLR....it's a shyt show.

Jokes aside, what I've noticed on the Coli is that someone will make an honest thread, maybe even wholesome or asking for advice...and people will show up with their misery to pollute the thread. It's like they have to rain on someone else's parade. There's a couple threads that come to mind

It's part of this "hot take" culture, people think that they have to be contrarian in order to have a conversation.
