I think the 2008 Hulk movie is underrated

In the Avengers Bruce acknowledged the end of this film when he said that the last time he was in New York he broke Harlem. The Abomination was just in Shang Chi but with a different design.

Banner also says I tried killing myself with a gun but the big guy spits out the bullet. which references this alternate opening.

the ang lee take was quite over dramatic in places, the tone was bleak..something i wasn't expecting!

Norton would have never played Hulk getting his ass beaten so easily and walked out

Ang Lee's "Hulk" is better. Only comic book movie to achieve an interesting comic book visual style, imo.

fukks with that one too. Folks weren’t ready for that auteur take yet.

There are scenes in that film that felt ripped straight out of a comic book. Ignoring the freeze-frame.
