But yeah he's my favorite rapper right now. I understand why a lot of people aren't feeling him but I don't see what's corny about him tbh. He just be spittin. Them love songs do blow my high though.

Bruh, stop that. The niqqa had like one album. It was between Him and Tabi Bonney as the two up & coming DMV stars. Most ppl was fukkin with Tabi more with his "pocket" song since that song jive is talkin bout G0-GO even tho you can get into a "pocket" during any type of music
Then since Wale signed with Ross, he's the most popular out now. But like everyone been saying, he just carries himself like if he already made it.
I know he impressed some execs before Ross signed him. I guess it got to his head???
Overall he's okay, but DMV ain't fukkin with him AT ALL. When I say that, I mean in terms of what you'd catch a nikka riding around bumpin. Wale has NEVER been "cool" in that way. I put my LIFE on that comment. And I LIKE Wale
nikka's character is fukkin awful.
As a MC he is slightly above average. The nikka has absolutely NO charisma. And it always seems like he is always fukking complaining in a interview or he drunk as fukk being a overall ass.

DC has an odd style. They always kinda rode to this weird style beat.
The best way I can explain it. Take Jim Jones, Bird Gang.

Like, NY'ers stereotypically are looked at as being somewhat cocky?
But its like a cultural/local thing.
DC, they haven't earned shiit yet in the scope of things as far as hip-hop concerned.
Wale got big upped by Jigga, then all of a sudden he got too confident. And thats sort of the vibe of the youth movement in general.

90% of the reasons people are mentioning in here have nothing to do with music...
Social media, youtube and all the access has really killed hip hop in some ways..They want to know and like these artists personally now, when that never used to be the case...Im glad I didn't know then, what I know now about Q-Tip while I was bumping those Tribe Classics..

There's nothing special about him imo.
I can acknowledge that alot of these newer rappers are talented, but most of them lack that quality that makes you want to listen to them.
