I got that shyt hard right now :stopitslime: You look at your direct loans statements & realize shyt about to get real....real quick :birdman:

If I could do it over again.....I'd gave my school the :stopitslime: & went to one of these small public schools in Maryland. Say what you want about Eastern Shore or Morgan but, them bytches is about $6,000 a year after Pell Grants. Neega wouldve been debt free.

fukk was I thinkin going to a private school

You also woulda been job free too :heh:

:manny:

Yea, yea, yea...I hear you. I dont believe in that shyt tho. If you let where you go to school be an excuse for your failure, you would've failed regardless. I could see if you went to Hamburger State lol....but I got plenty of friends who're alum from Morgan, UMES, Del State. None of them starving.

i honestly dont blame students. i blame the parents. u've goto be a fucckhead parent to allow ur kid to take out ridiculous amounts of loans to attend some lame ass university when the state college u have near ur house is more than perfect for ur kid. this actually angers me.

its one thing to get scholarships to schools. its another thing to finance it urself by taking out loans. that really aggravates me. there are schools out there that charge less than $5000 per semester. and yes, they're legit schools. not that online bs.

Hindsight is always gonna be 20/20. It's easy to say you shouldn't have done this or did this now that we see the consequences of it. But folks thought they were doing the right thing once upon a time.

Class of 2009 right chea

A lot of cats though they were doing the right thing just by being somewhere. I'm the first person in my whole backward family to have a college degree, but we grew hearing that "if you don't go to college you gonna be working at Wal Mart". I remember cats getting called into the guidance office in high school cause they hadn't committed or applied to a school on some "you know you're throwing your future away?" Meanwhile them cats is supervisors and managers at the entry level jobs they took out of high school 7-8 years ago and the rest of us are sitting around like..."man this aint even fair"

If a brotha could do it all over again I'd have rode it out with UPS. I'd be straighter right about now than I am.

I just remember you saying you wanted to work for like Google or something.

I mean, you'd have a job, but it wouldn't be at any really good place, or place you wanted.

Certain companies ONLY recruit from a certain 5-7 schools.

I chalked it up to the game and kept it moving. That's all you can do. I don't regret going to college. Not one bit.

You're studying economics and working internships so it sounds like you're going to be making moves once you graduate.

Imagine people owing that kind of money and getting degrees in Communications or general studies with no internship/work experience.

Yeah man, I almost went to Morgan. I've got a friend up there who is doing pretty well, but the internships arn't coming. shyt is sad. He'll be able to get a decent job....his salary will just be 15 to 20k less than ours. (That's not even always true, either) :ld:

If I had it all to do over, I probably would be at Morgan State. UMBC is too expensive...and it's not like Morgan isn't known for it's Engineering. I should have went there. :smh:

Plus the bishessssssss :lawd:
