Sometimes I wonder if conspiracy theories are a coping mechanism for people who don't want to accept simple truths. It's the grown up version of the kid who closes his eyes thinking the danger will go away.

I'm starting to realize that the reason why I think
people are reluctant to accept alternative theories regarding the Nip case is because it's scary
Its much easier to accept that a random Black people person from Nipseys own neighborhood killed him
because that's more digestible, controllable, and it feels more preventative, because you can kind of control potential situations like that
but to acknowledge that something more sinister was potentially at play, that's scary for allot of people
because that's more out of your control, and that makes you feel vulnerable and exposes your helplessness
