No it was the antithesis of Friends, the anti-low brow version of friends. Happy Endings "friends" were real disrespectful and rude to each other LMAO, and blatant af; always made fun of each other's faults, rarely supportive-Amazing show. I described it as a wittier Friends with a gay guy and a black guy.
Also one of the GOAT first episodes of a show with homie getting his girl taken at the alter by a guy on roller blades

-The episode where Max was hibernating bc Chicago winters were too cold and they actually treated him like a bear; disrespecting him by feeding him meat and making him ride a unicycle when he was sleepwalking
-Dave is addicted to V neck shirts, all he wears is those shirts, they make fun of him by having an interVention to stop him from wearing them
-Brad got a job at Chuckles and Huggs, his wife dissed him
-The kickball episode when "Lebron" Jane cut off her sister and the rest of the friends bc she thought there were losers and couldn't play; she defected to the other team; they ended up kicking Dave off the team for the football player.
-The Sinbrad episode where Brad had to pretend that he was a househusband when really he was sneaking out to go to his finance job
-When Penny kept falling or bumping her head, the doctor told her to wear a helmet. They all started making fun of her when she fell down the steps and had to wear a full body cast.
That's the opposite of Friends from what I could tell. Never watched Friends that much though.
Nah, it was a really funny show. White people making fun of themselves . 3 seasons was actually a decent run for what it was especially for ABC, the show gave no fux. Pure Comedy. I found that show to be funny af. That's probably why they cancelled it - it was irreverent, broke tv trope rules and not blandWell you had this thread up for 36 hours and only have 8 responses. That may give some insight on why it was canceled.
wordAll of them shyts have me dying
When Dave had the yips
Happy endings’ crew reminds me of my crew cause yeah we clown each other. They’d do that every now and then on friends but it was ultimately about hugging at the end. Here? No hugs. Dust yourself off, it’s just jokes we love you
This. Second season and Third seasons were def better than the first. There’s an actual happy endings thread in here with more responses lol. But yeah. Most of us here have already said our goodbyes and she’s our tears. Him bringing this up now is throwing salt in the wound. But the show didn’t find a big audience until it was cancelled

Maybe because it was cancelled 5 years ago and I made this thread randomly?
damn you!

Could have been one of the GOATS.
slight off topic - But I watch this show (and a lot of other comedy shows) on Hulu. I turn on my tv, go to the Hulu app and I get a screen prompt saying that Hulu is no longer streaming to my tv brand. Like whutttttt???! I look it up and I see articles that Hulu is no longer offered on LG Smart TVs I was so mad... Do you know what the deal is with that?Yup. Those shyts are fantastic
lmaoffffff at you contradicting/arguing with yourselfThe fukk am I saying? It was and is one of the GOATs. No question.
