I read his book and im pretty sure I remember him sayin he wasn't a gang banger who put in work he was just affiliated and nikkas respected em....and he admitted he wasn't from the same section as the crips he hung out with and you couldn't just join a set if you not from there. It really aint that difficult to be "affiliated" with a set from what ive seen,ill try to find the book and see if I can post some quotes,but he went out of his way in the book to separate himself as a nikka who actually put in work and went to war out there over they colors colors colors.
