I'll say this much. In this day and age it don't matter how much you love your job and how good you are at it. your experience doesnt even matter.

all that matters is who you work with for multiple reasons. the biggest reason is that literally one person joining your team/firm is all it takes to completely override whatever progress, goodwill etc. you've buillt there. If that person doesnt see value in you, doesnt like you, or even doesnt like your boss etc...you can end up jobless.

it happened to me last year and its only after 10 months that I was finally able to get a decent job (at a 33% paycut). 10 years of hard work and networking can literally go down the drain just because one person joins your team lol. and when youre on the hunt for a new gig you can be the most qualified but it doesnt matter. the hiring manager might feel threatened by you or not have the "budget" to pay you; so theyll go for the cheaper less experienced option.

It is only going to get worse too with AI / robotics on the horizons

thats my humble opinion. its up to everyone to figure out how to start their own business. Use the tariff nonsense and increased adoption of AI because this paradigm is similar to the internet boom, smartphone boom, social media boom etc. Cash out or die trying

Yup pretty much. I tell my coworkers and friends to just tighten up your budget and bullshyt spending. If u locked in somewhere or got some union seniority just stay put and try to learn other skills during this time

Shyt's getting crazy.I hear even warehouse jobs like UPS, FedEx, and Amazon are planning to go fully automated.It'll be interesting to see what kind of robots they use to load/unload trailers.

In my 20s I used to work in a warehouse selecting. The thing AI will bring is a lot of it will be error free cuz the humans not selecting the orders. You may have a few humans operating the machines.

With A.I getting better it’s inevitable that it’s going to take over a lot of unskilled labour jobs as well as tech jobs. But here’s the thing if you have a creative mind and don’t fight AI and use it to your advantage to create opportunities for yourself ahead of the game you will be gucci. With Ai you eventually will be able to have create apps and also a business. Yes there is a lot of uncertainty going on but in the end I believe everything will be better. I had talk with my pops yesterday and even though Trump is fukking things up there might be some good from it. Countries are looking at how they can become independent from each other which potentially could be a good thing in the future.

A.I. + data centers + Quantum Computers = destruction of jobs

And the CEOs of these companies have been telling you that. They don't plan to have a bunch of workers in the future.

It will be even more difficult to have your own business outside of the control of these companies because of how fast the computational power will be with what they plan to do. You won't be able to outthink it.

People better be learning how to live pre technology, because growing your own food and knowing how to live outside the system will make a comeback.
