1. Obama paid his student loans off only 8-10 years ago. He is not from an affluent background, unlike Romney.

2. He only made money off his books after he featured in the 2004 DNC and then ran for President. He didn't make it off private equity, where they loaded up companies with debts and slashed jobs/sent them overseas like Bain did to some of its portfolio companies.

3. He pays the top income tax rate on his book income, unlike Romney, who pays a much lower rate, despite making a multiple of Obama's income.

I honestly don't give a shyt about this because Mitt Romney is not the first filthy rich dude to run for president and he won't be the last.
This is just a bullshyt diversionary tactic by sitting president who wants to focus on anything but his own record in office and the shytty economy we currently have.

The entirety of the Obama campaign has been focused on class warfare because Romney is a billionaire. The focus on debunked reports of Romney's possible tertiary involvement in Bain outsourcing; Romney's tax returns; this diving back into the Bush tax cut stuff.
Its to distract from the shytty economy and horrendous jobs numbers.

Romney is paying the correct tax rate that one pays on investments which is lower than the rate Obama paid on his book since the book money is considered income.

No, I'm not voting for Romney or Obama. I just get perturbed by people posting like Obama is any better than Mitt ( or any other shytty pol to be honest).

Cool, I'm with you on not voting comrade.

So you believe Obama and Romney are essentially birds of a feather when it comes to wealth and transparency?

I think I've got it now.

What do you want him to focus on specifically?

I would think if he was as awesome a president as so many think he has been that he would spend more time talking about how successful he has been the last almost 4 years and talk up what he plans to do in his second term to fix the issues in the country instead of concentrating on how wealthy his opponent is.

You do know the mark of a successful president is his being able to make deals and apply pressure where needed to members of Congress to do what he wants? Proposing stuff and sitting back with your fingers crossed hoping it gets passed is not how DC works.
The Senate is Dem controlled btw so the Repubs have the option of using the filibuster as the minority party to try and stop bills they disagree with. It then falls on the Dems to enter into negotiations to try and come up with a compromise bill that everyone can live with.
These same rules were available to the Dems when Bush was in office and they should have used the filibuster as an option back then. Maybe if they had shown some balls Bush wouldn't have gotten away with so much shyt.
