I Never Liked Spike Lee's Crooklyn...

i don't know why you don't like it or why you failed to see the point of the movie. it's not a complex subject or plot to grasp. even if you didn't understand the point of the movie or the overall theme, the mini-episodes within the movie should have kept you entertained at least. in regards to the music, i can't say i've ever hated on a spike lee movie score mostly because he has terence blanchard do a lot of the scoring, and terence is a beast at the trumpet, and music in general...

plus it's semi-biographical too...

June of 94 was epic for me, went to see the Lion King with my baby son, epic.

Then Crooklyn the next week.

But seriously, Crooklyn is one of Spike most underrated movies, that and Miracle at St Anna. Yea, that movie was deep and even though I'm about 15 years younger than Spike and I can identify with growing up in the hood, and the beauty and ugly of it.

I wish I could slap the taste out ya mouth. This shyt is a classic and a good representation of how it was to grow up in NYC and just an all around good movie.

Plus the soundtrack is nothing but classics. I should neg you for this.

I never liked this movie, never really saw the point of it, but...

No movie ever had better music throughout the film. I can't even count the number of classic tracks that were playing during this movie.
