I never liked this movie, never really saw the point of it, but...

No movie ever had better music throughout the film. I can't even count the number of classic tracks that were playing during this movie.

Dead presidents might have been the closest one, and even that wasn't fukking with it. I just watched Crooklyn again last month and first thing I said was how the soundtrack was fire.

I agree, Its one of my least favorite of Spike Lee Movies

thats weird because its definitely one of my top 5 spike lee films

My personal TOP 5 in no particular order....

1. Do the Right Thing
2. Malcolm X
3. Crooklyn.
4. She's gotta have it
5. School Daze.

Film is classic, if u didn't grow up in the hood/ghetto with a bunch of siblings then u probably wouldn't understand tho, that film paints my childhood perfectly

Got to agree that it's one of his top 5 flicks. It's somewhat of a biopic based around his family, that's the point. He's just showing you what his childhood was like growing up in Brooklyn in the early 70's. It's just seen through the eyes of his sister.
