It seems fine to me so far. If most PS4 users have no problem with Samsung Seagate 2TB HDD then you shouldn't be worried.

my Madden 16 kept getting errors corrupted data

Nah.
Most of my joints were backed up to the PS Cloud.
I just re-installed them back into the system.
