i wanna make dusty ass beats in a dusty ass room just like the rza did :to:

Get ya self a 2500 den. Keep in mind tho, premier n rza n all of them used that technology because that's all that was available at the time. If they were coming up in this generation best believe that they would be masters at FL, protools, n logic :usure: . Rza even admitted that back in the day his secret was that he used the old version of protools on his computer, n that's why his beats were other wordly compared to his peers at the time

Haha everybody is like that when they first start messing with a DAW. shyt took me 6 months to get my head wrapped around logic :wow:

But once you do tho :jawalrus:

I have a MPC and let me tell you man, it is just as complicated to first figure out. You are gonna have to read ALOT of manuals and guides to get the full capacity out of ya MPC. And dont even get me started on JJOS or JJOS 2.5xl :damn:

Get a 1000 with good pads. Got mine for 250 off Craigslist two years ago. I saw one for $300 the other day, going to try to talk him down to 225.

I use a Native Instruments Maschine in combination with Nuendo for my DAW.
MASCHINE

It's cheaper than a new MP, and also comes with a 6GB library of sounds. No I.D. has actually moved onto this for his primary sampler/sequencer. He actually did the beat for D.O.A. using the Maschine, I believe.

The only downside is that it needs to be hooked up to your computer to access the sounds. Whereas with an MP, you can load the sounds into it and take it with you to use as a performance tool. I don't plan on doing live beat demonstrations outside of my studio, so it's perfect for me.

Hope this helped.

Just get a pad and do it thru ya daw. I have a 2500 and I don't even use that shyt.

Computers >>> Old technology

I agree with this...

Unless you want that machine to collect dust in your closet, don't waste your money on it...

It's not going to make you a better beat maker...

Download FL Studio for free and by an Akai MPK (I have three of those, Mini, 25 and 88), and you will be good...

I know how you feel. I love 80's music and one day I will get my hands on a LinnDrum and a Jupiter 8.

Hell, I think you could probably use an mpc as a midi controller if needed. win/win if you ask me.
