I bought the razor blade 15

I don’t know much about computers in general besides always having one. But I said that cause I never been a Mac guy. So when I started making music, I always read that you had to have a Mac and that was the standard. But that shyt was always high as hell. But then I would read, that that was bullshyt and you can get the job done with all kind of CPU’s and some people who prefer PC. So I stayed on PC. But all my computers would only last so long. Overheating, issues with windows OS and shyt. Now mind you, I wasn’t buying the top PCs. I was buying the ones for under $1000. But over the years, I bought so many laptops, one day I was like fukk this, I’m about to get a Mac. I got a used 2015 Mac laptop I think. Man I ain’t had one problem with that computer in a few years and I like how clean the Mac OS is compared to the windows shyt n PC. I was like oh, I see why everyone prefers Mac. And I have iPhone as well and hate that shyt and feel like they robbing people. But my experience with the computer has been great, and I’m gonna stick with them for laptops

Update: so I've had Razer Blade 15 laptop for 3-4 days and I'm returning it.
Long story short, the battery burned away fast off of the charger and when I tried to install Xpand!2, it crashed multiple times.
I might just end up getting my old laptop fixed, I spent A lot of money on this piece of shyt. It's not a bad laptop, but it isn't the laptop for me and what I want to do.

you need a good amount of ram and a good processor. you keep buying cheap shyt you will keep having issues because it can't handle you doing a lot. modern plugins are tasking on computers and will continue to demand more. future proof your production laptop or buy something just adequate today and need an upgrade in 1 year again.

you are not saying what the specs are of your old laptop. what exactly are you trying to get fixed? if the computer can't handle what you are trying to run there is not "fix"

using FL "comfortably" means having a computer that won't choke out because it's low on resources and you running multiple plugins. you won't get that type of experience if you don't get the right ram and processor. has less to do with brand etc. dudes already gave you the specs

i7 minimum 16gb ram minimum

Im looking for a new laptop to.
Ive had this 1 for like 7 years straight. Used it intensive almost everyday!

I have a i7 + 32 GB Ram in mind. 2,6 GHz
And a Razor9 + 32GB Ram which has 8 cores. (But this 1 cost 700 more) 3,3 GHz

Is it worth the extra 700?

32 Gigs of ram is a Super computer hahaha! you'll be looking at around $1800 on the low end for 32 gigs. It really depends on what you want out of the pc. Are you going to be using it for video editing as well? Otherwise you can deal with lower specs mainly lower amount of ram with a lower level graphics card. But if you want 32 gigs its around 1800 and up. (Generally 2k-up when not on sale.

Ive got 1 for $1500 with 32 GB RAM and an i-7 (with 6 cores) processor.
Or 1 for $2200 with a Ryzen 9 (which is 8 cores) + 32 GB RAM

Those both are good deals. You technically don't need a core 8 and a 6 will do just as well with that 32 gigs of ram, but if you plan on doing heavy video editing the core 8 would definitely do it, if you don't mind spending a little more.
But both of those are good deals based on the specs you provided.

I got a swift 3 with 16gb ram, Ryzen 7 4700u processor, 1tb ssd... it's pretty decent and the cheapest thing I could find with those specs new.

I seen that the OP already bought one, I fw MSI laptops though specs-wise. They got good heatsinks too which is important for any laptop you're running at high-power for any significant length of time (4 hours+)
