Rock still out there and they make rock still. It's like where jazz is now: it's a genre for purists. That said, the rock I do hear these days, when I do hear it - I check out what's on Apple Music every now and then - is some of the most generic sounding rock. Like it sounds like 2000's rock with absolutely zero evolution. Cacs still have heavy metal and that's where the cool white shyt is these days.
