I think my favorite music era was the mid 90s to mid 2000s. Then again that makes sense cause it's when i was a teen/young adult so it's probably nostalgia.

To be clear there was a lot of corny shyt back then too. Just like im sure there is some dope stuff out there today.

I think as you grow older, and get more responsibility (jobs, kids, bills, sick family members) you're not paying as much attention to the new stuff coming out cause you simply don't have time to be a fan. So you lean on older music from your teens to young adulthood as your "comfort music". Also, it feels weird to "stan" someone younger than you.
