I miss late 90's pro wrestling crowds

It's because this generation is soft as fukk. Look at the difference in the crowd today you got little kids in yellow and purple john cena tshirts, back then little kids were wearing austin 3:16 shirts and giving wrestlers the middle finger and chanting we want puppies.

Another thing is these god damn smartphones, yeah their great and shyt but they completely ruin the interaction of people. Instead of people enjoying the show live and having fun they become a fukking cameraman recording a show that's being recorded and gonna be on tv. Did you ever go to a concert in the 90's? People were dancing and singing the songs having a good time now you go and everyone's standing there holding there cell phones recording it. You go see something live just enjoy it jesus christ

Real Talk, we are over saturated with wrestling.

Very true. I know there is too much money to be made and they will never do it, but if WWE cut it back to just one episode per week of 2-hour programming (like it was in the 90's) instead of having a 3 hour Raw, 2 hour Smackdown, 1 hour Main Event, it would add more excitment to the product.

Most weeks Smackdown is boring to me, but I make myself watch it anyway so I don't miss out on something and feel lost come Monday. I actually sometimes feel pissed watching Smackdown. Almost like I'm doing homework instead of watching something I enjoy.

I enjoy Raw most weeks but even a die hard fan like me feels 3 hours is just too damn much at one time. Most times I can only watch half and have to save the 2nd half for the next day because I can't sit there that long.

I get tired of them pushing the gotdam WWE app. In the middle of a match: "go to the app now to see exclusive backstage content blah blah". And all the twitter shyt is scrolling at the bottom of the screen.

How the fukk we supposed to enjoy the show if we gotta have our phones or tablets out at the same time? How we supposed to enjoy the matches and watch backstage shyt at the same time?

Ehh dudes were at cvs all the time with them disposable cameras for raw so i dont agree w the smartphone argument.

When something is good the crowd will pop. Dudes are on their phones cause shyts boring as fukk often.

There's so many subtleties I hate about Raw/Smackdown. jesus get rid of that red/blue mood lighting. put the spotlight on the match, and am i the only one who likes the simple camera work from the 90s? That camera trick they do now when someone takes a bump and they zoom in...it's way overdone.

For me wrestling got over saturated when they added Smackdown but like my man said above, spending all your Monday just waiting for it to be 9 after a very MEH 1st hour of Nitro was the shyt, but thats just nostalgia talking.

I'm not sure you've noticed but Vince doesn't give a fukk about ring content like that. He only cares about numbers and anyone who makes a business impact. Punk got a good reaction out of that pipe bomb shyt and that's how he got to the next level. Daniel Bryan got red hot even though they wanted Sheamus to be accepted and they tried to shift Bryan's success to Del Rio and Sheamus. That's how Vince sees things...he handpicks when he thinks matches are highlighted and considered good. Only when something is undeniable like Bryan carrying Ryback or doing nearly a 5 Star match with Rollins would they finally be forced to give someone props. LOL@them booking that guy in a tag team match at Mania and trying to squash him the year before to let Taker and Cripple work 30 minute matches. Unbelievable.
