I don't think you guys understand what an engineer does. That being said, the amount of luddites in here is surprising. Ya'll should throw your iphones away.

This affects brick layers mostly. Every construction project needs an engineer, doesn't matter what machinery they use to get the job done.

I remember hearing about this in 1999.

Some dude was on Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell predicting that people would be able to send material items through their emails within the next 50 years

I thought he was just a quack job, but:krs:

I love engineering, but should I switch to nursing?

:why:

if you're not a super smart genius with revolutionary ideas or if you are someone who doesn't like Brown nosing yes pursue a career in Health Services...anything else is basically corporate 'salad tossing'

health services is one of the few professions which is more about what you know then who you know and jobs are always in High demand so you don't have to worry about getting laid off and you can literally take that skill anywhere in the world and have a job....

I doubt it, we are not able to produce materials out of thin air.

Even the "3-D printer" needs the raw materials before it can build the house.

Everything else like plumbing, electrical wires, floor tiles would be installed by robotic arms.
