niche audience etc..they love zombie.
I have a visceral hatred of everything Zombie did with this movie.
That being said it was a million times better than the complete trash that was Zombie's Halloween 2.

Didn't like it. The best parts of it came in the third act when he recreated halloween's third act but it didn't do much for me. Mostly because I don't need any backstory on Michael. He works best as the boogie man and as a shape. Once you start giving him a backstory with trauma and personality it just makes it easier to sympathize with the guy or at least understand while I'd prefer not to know his motivation; i like the idea of him just being a psychopath who snaps and is a monster.
But I don't like Zombie's horror flicks. I prefer tension and those type of scares. The stuff he does doesn't scare me at all

I did. It was a tad better than the theatrical version
His Halloween 2 was trash. And since I'm not one of these guys who rails against remakes, Halloween 2 affords me the opportunity to bash it without bashing remakes in general: It's clearly not a remake, just his own thing and his own thing sucks
And I want @blockboy504 to know I don't have a problem with this flick because it's a remake; there have been plenty of bad halloween flicks that aren't remakes, so my problems stem from the movie on its own merit, not the fact that it's a remake. I don't give a damn if a movie is a remake, prequel, sequel, reboot, whatever. A good movie is a good movie..this one just isn't in my opinion

Have not seen this, but based on Zombie's The Devil's Rejects and House of1000 Corpses, I'm pretty sure I won't like it. Might check it out anyway though just to confirm.
