What was the inside info on that? At first, people were trying to say that was just to drive up his price. Most people said he would be more valuable to seattle then he would be anywhere else, because of the scheme they run.

Yes the Pats drove up Red's price. B/c he was number one on the Pats FA board. Ian Rapport who worked at the Boston Herald at the time(Now works at NFL Net - Rapsheet Blog. Awesome dude) Broke the story the the Pats would go hard for Red.
