the Africans in prehistoric EA were not Afro Asiatic.

The hell is afro asiatic?? I don't subscribe to bs anthropology. We are natives of the region and probably the oldest people in the world since the ancient Egyptians considered our region as their motherland.

You aren't.

You are Somali and are nowhere close to the ancient Africans in the rift valleys and wet sahara. You aren't the ancient Egyptians either.

Besides the last couple of entries this thread is filled with average looking girls.

LOL, which ones of these girls do you consider from your viewpoint above average? How the way i see it, everyone has their own idea what is beautiful, what you might find beautiful, and person might not. I reckon that makes the world goes round, is our individual taste.

Not to derail this thread, since is already derailed. LOL Who do you think the ancients descendants are along the Nile valley region? I have been going to different foreign websites like this one, and i read all kind of things and theories? So what is your theory? Who are the descendants of the ancients along the nile valley?

I don't think there is 1 group of descendants from the ancients along the Nile Valley. Back when the Sahara was green, there was a neolithic culture from the Niger to Khartoum. I suspect South Sudanese (responsible for pharaonic/dynastic culture), Cushytic/Horners and Cameroonian Niger-Congo people inhabited the Nile throughout the various dynasties.

OK. So, You discount us in the North of the country? Who is some respect practice pharaonic/merioitic culture to a certain degree or you consider us a bunch of immigrants from elsewhere? Because i heard this said by many people online, both Eurocentrist and Afrocentrist alike. We debate about this stuff on facebook, Twitter, and instagram in regards to our true identity.

I think North and South Sudanese people are the same people. You guys in the North did not do as good a job of retaining your culture and appearance to what the ancestors would have looked like, though.

I don't know about that one Poitier, if you look at the picture art in both Khartoum, and Egypt. The images speak for themselves of the people in the region. As far as retaining culture, i must say i definitely disagree. If the South the descendants of the ancients, why they digress to Sudan.

Did they degenerate and lost that knowledge to built structure, proper dwelling, and suddenly lost the ability to write?

These are the questions you need to ask yourself, objectively.

Inquiring minds like to know?
You understand islam came pretty late as being the dominant religion in North Sudan, in comparison to West Africa until the 15 century which was three different Christian Kingdoms Makuria, Alodia, and Nobatia. .

As far as our appearance the artwork in the museums in both Khartoum, Egypt, and elsewhere definitely speak for themselves. I understand there was definitely other groups, in what degree we trying to research.

As far as being the same people that is debatable. As i said before aspect of pharaonic/meriotic culture is still there.

Its a fact that Ancient Egyptian culture began with South Sudanese cattle culture and Africans from the interior of the Sahara migrating from the desert :yeshrug:

There are paintings of Ancients who look like Nuba people and paintings of people who look like Horners....it really proves nothing :yeshrug:

And the reason why they are further South is because the Sahara started becoming desert and pushing the Sudanese further South which is why places like Kerma were abandoned :yeshrug:

And I don't think it is debatable if you are the same people. You Northerners are just Nilotic South Sudanese people with Arab admixture :yeshrug:

Right and they lost the ability to write, understanding of mathematics and theory, and unable to built structure.
Please tell me, when a huge migration of Arabs came to the country? Yes some Arabs did migrant and mix with the population. Do you logically believe let say 10,000 could change the population of way over a million people. Numerically it is not logical. Also before islam became the dominant religion, we were Christian. This is how the Christian represent themselves.

Now these artworks was before islam became the dominant religion during the 12th and 15 century, after that the northern kingdom was ruled by turks in Egypt, and the southern kingom was ruled by Sennar from the South who happen to be "black". Ironically, both people who were ruled by two different groups of people look practically the same.

DNA shows that Northern Sudanese have Arab admixture.

Those pictures look to be Coptic art and well after Dynastic Egypt.

@KidStranglehold might be able to answer your questions better than I can

"they lost the ability to write, understanding of mathematics and theory, and unable to built structure" Where are you getting this from?

That is the artwork of the kingdom of Makuria, Faras, Nobatia among others, again before the majority of the population became islamic.

Prior to the Europeans coming to that region, which they separated both Northern Sudanese and Egyptian from going until the 1950's Egypt and Sudan was one country. The majority of the Southerners were living like this, and some still do to a certain degree. Before the British they did not have a writing system. Also to note the "gods" they worshiped were nearly Monotheistic in nature. In other words, they did not worship Amun Ra, Isis, nor Apedemak. Did they suddenly abandon it all, and have a fresh start.

.

Now i am not mocking their culture which i think is beautiful and unique, but at the same time you need to ask yourself these questions.

Now compare from the artwork before

EgyptianMusic3.jpg

Present.

Weirdly we play similar instruments.

The art work is Coptic style.

And what of Nuba wrestling or South Sudanese cattle culture?

Language most likely came from Afro-Asiatic Cushytic people so I don't think that gives you any merit to being a different people.

And I've read of numerous sites being found in Sudan that worship Isis and Amun Ra but I'll look into it further when I have time.

At the end of the day, it is undeniable that North Sudanese phenotype is not anything like their ancestors given the Arab blood. Its like saying African Americans are the direct ancestors of Ife Culture in Nigeria.
