I think a good chunk of us fall in between. You got plenty brothas that are outgoing and aren't pushovers while also educated and work a 9 to 5.

Black women are truly on their own in this country. It’s bad enough that from high school through college you look around and see few marriage prospects for you and your peers. You enter a workforce where there are even fewer black men. You have to learn to do it all on your own and do not anticipate a black man to save you. Black men are more likely to be plagued by health problems and job loss so you are going to have to take care of everything when the bottom falls out. Just like the women in older generations did.

Black women don't have marriage prospects because black women aren't wives.

Ask the average black women if she knows how to cook a meal from scratch and she'll look at you like you're insane

If y'all want to be married, learn to obey the men you decide to sleep with.
