Before 2001 (you know, when most people think the AE ended at WM 17), if a match didn't have Austin, X-Pac, or D'lo in it, it fukking sucked.
Here's a run down of a few random Raw from 1998:
And one from 1999:
Look at all that great wrestling. But let's not forget the great storylines over tranny surprises, faked miscarriages, insinuated incest, demonic possession, giant power lifter black man fukking and impregnating a woman nearing 80 (who gave birth to a hand), a woman faking domestic abuse to turn the locker room against her ex, using Hawk's real drug abuse for a storyline (it was gross when WCW did it with Hall, as well, and again later with Eddie in WWE), drug dealers, pimps, frequent male on female violence (always to a huge pop, despite Beaver Cleavage getting beaten up in the locker room for it), constant SHOOTS BRO....week to week, Attitude Era programing was DOG shyt. You remember the good parts, but you seem to have conveniently forgotten all the horrible parts, which outweighed the good parts by a lot.
I'll never understand why WWE hypes it so much. All it does is expose how shytty their biggest period actually was, and how embarrassing of a show it was for anyone over the age of 15.
