I remember they had them kids from Georgia that were integrating their prom so that's a positive story. But I dunno, I suppose we just see it two different ways. I never looked at it as black people complaining or whatever they just speaking on the things that are hardly being spoken on. Its a lot of fukked up shyt goin on in the world, not just with black people, but they have positive and negative stories. So should people not discuss the Prison Industrial Complex or fukked up conditions in prison? Its good to have dialogue on things that don't get much attention.
And asking for money is because its independently owned. Its no different than having a membership pledge with public television, in fact its pretty much the same thing. And it counts as a tax write off. But most Americans view community or social economics with some suspicious eye as if they tryna swindle you. Nothing wrong with citizens collectively contributing to some shyt, we pay taxes to a government thats on some fukk shyt but no one dares to question it. Doesn't make sense to me to suddenly say "Well, no way I'll give you small increments of my money simply because I am an active viewer. Who made yall the gubmint"
