I hope it's Bruiser Brody. He needs that belt also and a mouthpiece.

Chris Daniels would be odd just because they have had him focused on whatever not memorable shyt the SCU has been up to since the TNT show started.

Khan would just be idiotic.

If it turned out to be Broken Matt Hardy it would be awesome.

But it will probably just end up being someone like Kevin Sullivan.

the leader of the dark order should be:

Jon Moxley

if it is just evil uno, it is cool because they are trying to make a major heel stable leader.
not readily connected to the wwe formerly.
yet Moxley being the leader makes sense in visual and gimmick.
plus it gives him me direction
other than the former wwe guy.

This joins your idea that Christopher Daniels being the inaugural AEW champ as a terrible take.

your disdaiin for Daniels shows you do not know how the indies even became relevant.
plus this wwe bias like Moxley is anything more.
than what if stone cold won bloodstone instead of bret hart is also telling.
as his music and whole shyt is stone cold and bret hart down to the music.
being a mashup of bret and stone cold entrance music.

if you so enthralled with Moxley go watch his earlier indie stuff.

it is nuffin new.
to the point Moxley being the lead guy on aew is a drain.
as it is more of what hurt tna when if first started.
to much of an attention paid to wwe former champions.
when on roster you have a hotter more relevant performer.
who makes more sense to book as the focal point of the promotion.
especially when you can use the wwe performers as natural heels to the whole promotion. Instead, we get what if wwe performers had a show.

which is not what the indies are about.
the indies are the indies because of Daniels.
plus the reason why we got the indie heroes is because of Daniels.

Cody got to be cody on the indies..just because of Daniels.
just for starters.

1) I don't have any disdain for Daniels at all. Problem is he has a grand total of 3 months as the main champ of a promotion that matters, and it happened long after it would have meant something. If Daniels was a multiple time Heavyweight Champ with TNA and ROH, then there could be an argument for it. But Daniels has never once been the face of any promotion he's been a part of and to make him the first champ of a company that has a weekly primetime nationally televised show is beyond stupid and would have been borderline suicidal for a new company.

2) Moxley's loose cannon character in AEW does not mesh with an act like Dark Order (which screams Dungeon of Doom 2020) at all. Anyone with a lick of common sense will say that; there is absolutely nothing in Mox's current character that has anything in common with Dark Order.

If it was Kevin Sullivan and they go extra with it could pop off, all they have to do is frame it as his past and he's cine to put on the next generation to continue then have a guy with huge potential booked strong to join them.
