It does suck they can't figure out how to put quality shows on free television.

I mean CBS had to create a streaming service for the new Twilight Zone and Star Trek series.

I can't see broadcast tv changing anytime soon. Even when they get a show like Hannibal they cancel it.

Why go to broadcast when there's so many streaming services out there?

I feel u. But we need shows like that. Shows u can just put on and it has a beginning middle and end all one hour. As u said in your first post. Streaming services are pumping out innovative shows because they need reasons for us to subscribe. Network tv will always go with "what works" because all they have going for them are the ads and ads wants to be seen by the highest number possible.

It's only gonna get worse from here. Look at all the shows that are ending. It's truly the end of a era. More and more people are gonna be looking towards streaming services for new shows to watch since like almost EVERY long running show is ending this year

This is just off the top of my head on whats ending this year

Game of Thrones
Power
Suits
Supernatural
Empire
Homeland
How to get away with murder
Mr Robot
Arrow
The 100
Agents of shield
Ballers
Claws
Criminal Minds
Will and Grace

Im probably missing some.

The Big Bang Theory just ended this year and Modern Family is ending next year. Both of those shows go all the way back to the late 2000s when network television was still killing it in terms of content. I think Modern Family is the last network sitcom to get any kind of respect from the critics and be mainstream at the same time.

It's going to get worse in the 2020s for broadcast TV if they keep playing it safe. If a show like Modern Family came out today, it would most likely be on Netflix. :francis:
